The Seattle taxi monopoly
Government regulations are wasteful
Any government has an anti-Midas touch concerning economic and social matters. [“Column: End Seattle’s taxi monopoly,” Opinion, Aug. 13.]
So, any limit authority put on development taxi services in Seattle, no matter of how good the authorities’ intentions, made the service worse.
Government is good at creating waste, corruption and a lumpen proletariat or unemployment.
