Regarding Amy Martinez’s article “$15 wage — and tips, too?” (Page One, April 21), the elephant in the room needs to be addressed:
What is to happen to those of us who have worked for years to finally earn $15 to $16 an hour? I started in my trade at the minimum wage of $3.23, back in 1987.
This idea of just giving people $15 an hour is infuriating. I paid my dues to get to this wage. Are we going to get a 61 percent “auto-raise,” too? It seems only fair.
