I feel so much better now after reading the article on the parks initiative giving taxing authority to the City Council [“Fight over Seattle parks plan heats up as Aug. 5 election nears,” Local News, July 24].
I thought the citizens of Seattle would have no input. I was glad to see I was wrong and there would be a citizen advisory committee to keep council in line.
One small problem still exists: This committee members would have to be confirmed by the City Council. Talk about the wolf guarding the hen house.
