Middle East nations should do more to combat radicals within their own borders

The darkest evil in the Middle East, I think, are the nations that allow radicals to operate in their territories with impunity.

Where is their outrage? Why do they remain silent? If they are not complicit in these terrorist acts, why don’t they themselves deal harshly with these extremists and demand a negotiated settlement in the region?

They allow extremists to dictate policy and tactics through terrorism and murder, and when innocent civilians are killed, each side blames the other and the violence escalates. There seems to be no solution to this Middle East conflict, undermining the basic tenets of the religious beliefs of both sides.
