Marijuana expulsions: Bishop Blanchet High School made the right call

I read Nicholas O’Connell’s guest column “Help students understand pot law” [Opinion, Aug. 21].

Why stop there? How about “Help students understand alcohol law”? It appears to me that he wants to pass the buck of a parent’s responsibility to school teachers and administrators.

Hats off to the Bishop Blanchet High School’s administration for its zero-tolerance policy. As a responsible parent, if my Blanchet alum son was enrolled today, I would be making it very clear to him what zero-tolerance policy means, period.

There are reasons Mr. O’Connell chose to pay tuition and enroll his kids at Blanchet and I’m guessing discipline might be one of them?
