Columnist Robert J. Vickers surprise at Gov. Jay Inslee’s lack of leadership on key state issues cannot be described as either absentee nor strategist [“Is Gov. Jay Inslee an absentee governor or a patient strategist?,” Opinion, Nov. 24]. Inslee has no grasp of any problems facing this state as was clearly shown during the gubernatorial debates in 2012.
Issue after key issue, Inslee could not offer any cogent plan or understanding of solutions posed for the people of this state. Inslee would rather take the lead on his pet project of single-handedly solving Washington’s climate-change impact — his feel-good project. With the exception of speaking out on the state’s tragedies, which any competent governor would do — Inslee has been busy doing nothing.
The bigger question is: Will he continue doing nothing (except his climate change rigor) or will he work with both parties to get educated on solutions?
Well Gov. Inslee what will it be?
