State medical school: Look for other sources of primary care

What we need is a new primary-care school [“Washington state needs another medical school,” Opinion, Aug. 13]. Primary care does not have to be done by physicians. And since reimbursements and salaries are much higher for medical specialists than they are for primary-care people, training more physicians would not likely improve the primary-care shortages…
