The drum is beating for the U.S. to “strike” Syria. [“Obama may go it alone against Syria,” page one, Aug. 30.]
The President says he must first confer with Congress and our allies.
What obliges us to punish Syria for its use of chemical weapons? Aren’t there international precedents and regulations for handling such atrocities?
