Oso mudslide: Now is not the time to be pointing fingers

The people of Oso and the surrounding communities have suffered the most horrendous loss, one that is totally unimaginable to most of us [“Precious time wasted in critical first hours after slide, some say,” Local News, March 26].

So imagine my shock and dismay when reading a state senator and another community official casing blame on how the initial search was handled. Maybe there were mistakes made, we don’t know. But for the families to hear that in light of what
