Replay: Google Hangout on the $15 minimum wage

We held a Google+ On-Air Hangout on Wednesday to discuss the proposal to raise Seattle’s minimum wage to $15 per hour from the state’s current minimum of $9.32.

Thanh Tan, Seattle Times multimedia editorial writer, will moderate the discussion.

Our panelists are:

Rich Fox, part-owner of Von Trapp’s and Poquitos restaurants in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Read his guest column: “Count restaurant tips in minimum-wage debate.”

Dave Gering, executive director of the Manufacturing Industrial Council of Seattle. Read his guest column: “Consider health insurance in minimum-wage debate.”

I-Miun Liu, owner of Eastern Cafe and Oasis Tea Zone in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District.

Jonathan Martin, Seattle Times editorial board member and columnist. Read his column: “How a $15 minimum wage could affect services to poor, vulnerable.”

Lori Pfingst, analyst for the Washington State Budget & Policy Center. Read her guest column: “Raise the minimum wage to keep middle class strong.”
