A statistical look at the divisional title games . . .

We can’t say with certainty that the USC-UCLA and Stanford-Oregon games Saturday decide who’s going to be in the Pac-12 title game Nov. 30, since even if Stanford were to pull a big upset in Eugene, it would still have to surmount UCLA the next week, and that’s hardly a gimme.

But the game in Los Angeles does have that certainty, and the Stanford-Oregon game surely is the game of the year in the North.

A look at the two games, statistically:

Stanford-Oregon

Scoring offense — Oregon (1st in Pac-12), 54.8, Stanford 29.1 (6).

Scoring defense — Stanford 17.2 (1), Oregon 22.3 (3).

Total offense — Oregon 562.6 (1), Stanford 378.1 (8).
