Another Friday Apple Cup this year, but in Seattle . . .

The Pac-12 announced its football schedule for 2013 Thursday morning, and once again, the Apple Cup is a Friday game, for the second straight season. This one will be at Husky Stadium Nov. 29 — kickoff time to be announced down the road, probably no sooner than the spring, if then.

That’s also the date of the Civil War in Eugene.

Of course, the 2012 Apple Cup was in Pullman Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving, which, in terms of fan inconvenience, was probably the all-time high.

The putative league game of the year — Oregon at Stanford — is set for a Thursday-night date, Nov. 7. We’ll have more thoughts later today on both the Huskies’ and Cougars’ schedules.
