Northwest 11: Huskies retake second after sweep

Herewith, our third Northwest 11 ranking of 2015, featuring the Division 1 schools in Oregon and Washington, plus Idaho and Boise State.

1. Gonzaga (18-1) . . . Loyola was first team to outrebound Zags (38-33)

2. Washington (13-4) . . . Sweep was mandatory for UW; rugged mountain trip next

3. Oregon State (12-5) . . . Life is good: 3-2, hosting LA schools this week

4. Oregon (12-6) . . .  Lack of defense costing Ducks dearly

5. Washington State (9-8) . . . Scored 108 points, followed up with 47

6. Boise State (12-6) . . . Restored confidence with wins over UNLV, New Mexico

7. E. Washington (13-5) . . . Sac State loss without Venky Jois creates Big Sky logjam

8. Portland (11-8) . . . Bailey’s 28 went for naught in loss to Pepperdine

9. Portland St. (9-7) . . . 3-3 in league, but 5 of next 7 on road

10. Seattle U. (9-8) . . . Now heads out for old WAC rivals Chicago State, UMKC

11. Idaho (7-9) . . . Heartbreaker at Sac State, then loss at PSU
