Darcy Burner: ‘Feedback has been very positive’

The mood inside Zeeks Pizza in Redmond is festive as about 50 of Darcy Burner’s supporters await the results.

“I’m nervously optimistic,” she said.  “We’ve been talking to thousands of voters and the feedback has been very positive.”

When the results from Whatcom County flashed on the TV screen, showing opponent Suzan DelBene several points ahead, Burner said: “We were expecting this.”
