Inslee signs bills to add state developmental-disability services

Gov. Jay Inslee has signed legislation to start to reduce a massive backlog of developmentally-disabled residents waiting for state help. Plan would fund bill pushed by parents of mentally ill Seattle man

OLYMPIA — A budget proposal unveiled Wednesday by state House Democrats would put $10 million toward making it easier to involuntarily commit mentally ill residents.
