It’s almost July — where are the Oscar movies?

Weren’t we asking ourselves this question last year, too? Looks like 2009 might be another year in which the Oscar contenders are all lumped together in the year’s final quarter. An exception just might be “Public Enemies,” the very promising-looking Michael Mann drama about ’30s gangsters, starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger. It turns up in theaters Wednesday, July 1. An article in Variety today describes the upcoming Oscar hopefuls; most of which won’t be seen here until later this year.
Do you think any movie released in the first half of the year will be an Oscar contender? Let’s vote:

What already-released 2009 movie might be an Oscar contender?(poll)
