Back again . . . and off to Hogwarts

Did anyone miss me? I’m back from a week of furlough, and have just slammed through 600 email messages before rushing out (with a 14-year-old Harry Potter fan in tow) to the press screening of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” I saw no movies during my break. Not one. Did you? Anyone catch “Bruno”? My best bit of movie news all week was reading the Nora Ephron profile in last week’s New Yorker (sorry, can’t link to it, it’s been moved to the subscription section of their site), which contained the absolutely fascinating tidbit that her divorce from Carl Bernstein (documented memorably in the book and movie “Heartburn”) was held up for some time while they squabbled over whether he would get script approval for the movie. And then the profile’s writer doesn’t tell us whether he got it. I’m guessing not. Interesting stuff.
More later; off to Hogwarts now. Happy Monday!
