Do you text, or tweet, during movies? Why?

OK, I was just in a meeting with a group of People Who Shall Be Nameless, and the topic of Twittering or otherwise using one’s personal communications device during a movie came up. I held what seemed to be the minority opinion, which is that I’m against it. (Actually I think that people who use cellphones to do anything during a movie deserve to be boiled in the sort of nasty fake buttery-stuff that goes on popcorn. It’s inconsiderate to fellow moviegoers, not to mention obnoxious. But I didn’t say that in the meeting.) I was told that my position on this matter was “unique.” Really? Tell me, dear webby friends, what you think of this. Are you OK with people tweeting away during movies? Or texting? Do you do it yourself? Why do you do it?
