I just came back from the lovely Port Townsend Film Festival, where Mark Hug and May Charters’ drama “Lovers in a Dangerous Time” won the jury award for best narrative feature. The film is the story of two former childhood friends who reunite at their 10-year high school reunion. I missed it at PTFF, but we’ve all got another chance to see it: It’s the opening night film for the Tacoma Film Festival, which begins Thursday. Hug and Charters will meet audience members at a 6:30 reception prior to the 8 p.m. screening, at the Annie Wright Great Hall and the Annie Wright Kemper Theater. Tickets are $17; click here for more information about the screening or about the Tacoma Film Festival, which continues through October 8.
