Grace Coddington, on the subway

OK, this one is just for those of us who loved “The September Issue” and its reluctant hero. Grace Coddington, the flame-haired creative director of Vogue (she of the immortal line “Please do not retouch Bob’s stomach”), said in an interview during Paris’ Fashion Week that she’s enjoying the attention that the film has brought her. “It’s uplifting when you’re feeling grumpy in the morning on the subway on the way to work and someone recognises you and talks to you,” she said. Wait a minute — Grace Coddington rides the subway? Can you imagine Anna Wintour doing likewise? Just another reason to love her.
