Benefit screening for Haiti at Northwest Film Forum

For those of you reading this in the Seattle area, here’ s an event that got added to the schedule too late to make my usual Friday film-events column. The drama “Eat For This Is My Body,” directed by Michelange Quay, will screen Thursday night as a benefit for Haitian earthquake relief. Tickets are $10 at the door. All proceeds will go to benefit the Haitian city of Jacmel, home to Haiti’s Cine Institute. The screening is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave., Seattle. For more information, click here; to pledge an additional donation, click here. For information on more local events to benefit Haiti, go to www.seattletimes.com/listings and search for “Haiti”.
