Looking back at “Best in Show”

I see in the news this morning that a very self-possessed Scottie named Sadie won the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show last night, after overcoming some stage fright last year that caused her to have an, ahem, accident at Madison Square Garden. (That this fact was widely reported this morning makes me think that Sadie needs to find herself a new publicist, stat.) Anyway, you can’t read this news without thinking of Christopher Guest’s wonderfully absurd dog-show mockumentary “Best in Show” (or is it really so absurd?). It’s a movie filled with great moments (remember “You stop naming nuts!”?); here’s just one:

I’m still waiting for Winky to have his own movie.
