Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, and, oh, well . . .

Here at Popcorn & Prejudice, we try not to dwell too much in rumor. (And why am I using the plural? P & P is basically just me, with my trusty assistant Diet Coke.) But every now and then, during my morning web run, something turns up that’s just too . . . well, you decide. This morning Gawker pointed me to an Australian news website, which is reporting that Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet will star in a movie together soon, which is all well and good. Here is the terse description of their roles:

Jackman plays a man whose testicles are located under his chin and Winslet plays a woman who goes out on a date with his character.

OK then, I’m guessing there’ll be a minimum of chin-chucking on that date. Or maybe not. This movie, which has a IMDB page under the heading “Untited Comedy,” is apparently a collection of short comedy pieces, with a large ensemble cast and five directors, including Peter Farrelly. So I’m guessing this particular sketch might be called “There’s Something About Hugh.” And now I’ve got a picture in my head that’s going to require a lot of Diet Coke to erase. Ah well. On with the day.
