It’s midyear — what’s your top ten?

It’s a lovely, chilly July 1 (yes, I could see my breath this morning as I walked to the car — don’t you love it?), which means 2010 is already half-over. Weirdly, the movie year isn’t really half-over, as studios have a way of bunching their offerings at the end of the year for prime Oscar awareness, but nonetheless, let’s mark this six-month milestone with a few lists. Here are mine; note that all are alphabetical:
Top Ten So Far This Year
Alice in Wonderland
Fish Tank
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Hedgehog (seen at SIFF)
I Am Love
Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work
Please Give
the “Red Riding” trilogy (well, OK, that’s three, but they’re all great)
The Secret in Their Eyes
Toy Story 3
Ten Favorite Performances, So Far
Mark Addy, “Red Riding: 1983”
Cate Blanchett, “Robin Hood”
Helena Bonham Carter, “Alice in Wonderland”
Michael Caine, “Harry Brown”
Michael Douglas, “A Solitary Man”
Catherine Keener, “Please Give”
Kevin Kline, “The Extra Man”
Laura Linney, “The City of Your Final Destination”
John C. Reilly, “Cyrus”
Tilda Swinton, “I Am Love”
Ten I’m Most Looking Forward To in the Next Six Months, Sight Unseen
The American
Catfish
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I
Hereafter
Inception
Morning Glory
Never Let Me Go
Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World
The Social Network
Somewhere
And how about you?
