“Casablanca,” Dyan Cannon, and Jon Hamm for the weekend

Lots going on around town this weekend: the “Casablanca” fundraising evening at the Grand Illusion on Saturday (I’m sorry to be missing this; it sounds like a blast), the Northwest Film Forum’s 15th anniversary celebrations beginning Saturday; the Festival of New Spanish Cinema at SIFF Cinema; the ever-delightful Port Townsend Film Festival today through Sunday, featuring special guest Dyan Cannon (who’ll be on hand for a Q & A following a screening of “Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice”), and the charms of one of the Northwest’s prettiest towns; and a very special “Mad Men” episode Sunday night, about which we’ll talk on Monday. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with Jon Hamm and Craig Ferguson, who made beautiful music together on the Late Late show last night. The movie they’re talking about, “Howl,” will turn up in Seattle Oct. 29 at Northwest Film Forum. Watch this; you’ll laugh out loud.
