Made-in-Seattle “The Details” gets a Sundance deal

If you’ve been wondering about the fate of “The Details,” the dark comedy shot in Seattle in 2009 (primarily in the Montlake neighborhood), wonder no more. The Weinstein Company has just picked it up at Sundance for a reported $7.5 million, making it one of the biggest deals at the festival so far. No word yet on when the film, which has been getting mixed reviews at Sundance, would be released. “The Details,” directed by Jacob Aaron Estes, is the story of a couple coping with angry raccoons in their back yard (is this common in Montlake?) and stars Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks and Laura Linney.
