On the TV side of things: “30 Rock” news

Yesterday I met somebody who, upon hearing my name and the fact that I wrote for the Seattle Times, immediately said, “Oh, you’re the TV writer!” Not really, but a job’s a job, right? So I’ll be a TV writer for a moment today, and note this news about one of my current favorite shows: “30 Rock” will return, but not until the middle of next season; probably early 2012, due to series creator/star Tina Fey taking some time off for her expected second child. This means “30 Rock” joins “Mad Men” in the we’re-going-to-have-to-wait-a-while category; in the meantime, here’s a reason why it’s worth the wait:
