From Slytherin to . . . “Apes”

I spent much of “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” last night trying to figure out why the nasty, sneering blond guy who worked at the primate shelter looked so very familiar. I knew the sneer, but the voice was throwing me off. Finally, the end credits helped me out: It was Tom “Draco Malfoy” Felton, in what I think is his first big American movie, and certainly his first big American accent (which obviously he handled very well). But is this kid already getting typecast as a villain? Is he having too much fun to leave Slytherin behind?
