What’s your favorite baseball movie?

My colleagues over in Sports (who I wish I knew better; they’re down the hall on the other side of the building, so I rarely see them) are talking about baseball movies this week, in honor of “Moneyball” (which I liked; did you?). Sports editor Don Shelton today posted a number of nominations for the Golden Bat Awards; pop on over to that page and name your favorite. Baseball writer Larry Stone will name his favorites on his blog this week as well.
I’m no sportswriter, but I’ve definitely got a few favorites. Best baseball movie ever? “Bull Durham.” No question. End of story (or, should I say, end of inning). Just perfect. But there are moments in “Field of Dreams,” “A League of Their Own” and “The Natural” for which I have great fondness. More recently, I loved the little-seen baseball movie “Sugar,” from 2009, and certainly a special award should go to “The Naked Gun” for the funniest baseball scenes ever filmed. Check out those Seattle Mariners!

And what’s your favorite?
