‘Crazy Stupid Love’ on DVD

So, last night, why did I only get about 15 trick-or-treaters last night, when it’s usually at least double that? And why did I buy way too much Halloween candy, which has resulted in me having a lot of Fun Size M & Ms around the house . . . oh, wait, this is not really a problem, is it? Never mind.
Anyway. Six movies to review this week, three screenings to attend today (“Le Havre” at noon, “Into the Abyss” at 2, “Tower Heist” at 7), so I’m a little pressed for time and will just note this morning that “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” probably my favorite romantic comedy of the year, is out on DVD today. If you missed it in theaters, do check it out. The cast is a treat, and while Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell seemed to get all the buzz, note that hiding within this movie is one of the funniest performances I’ve seen in a long time, delivered by Marisa Tomei. I may have to watch this movie again, just to see the scene in which she freaks out. (Anyone else had a soft spot for Marisa Tomei ever since she appeared on “Seinfeld”? Anyone?) More later . . .
