There’s a blanket of white in Seattle this morning, and I’m watching snowflakes fly outside my window here at work; my presence here being entirely due to a neighbor/colleague with a Ford Explorer and very impressive driving skills. (Thank you, Laura!) While I get busy making phone calls to find out which arts organizations in Seattle are closed for the day, let’s think about movie snow scenes. Do you have a favorite? Glinda making snow fall in the poppy field in “The Wizard of Oz”? Any of the spooky outdoor scenes in “The Shining”? Fred and Ginger singing “A Fine Romance” in the snow in “Swing Time”? Or this sweet scene, from “Edward Scissorhands”?
Share your favorite with the rest of us, as we all take time today to gaze out the window . . .
