Counting down to ‘Mad Men’

I’m looking forward to the return of Mad Men Mondays on the blog, starting this Monday, after we’ve all viewed the Season 5 opener of the show, airing Sunday at 9 p.m. (not the usual 10 p.m. time from previous seasons; this is a two-hour episode). While we wait, here’s an interesting interview with Matthew Weiner (did you know that Glo-Coat commercial was inspired by his own childhood memories of being locked in the basement while his mother waxed the floor?) and a reminder of some of the finer moments of Roger Sterling (played to silvery perfection by John Slattery):

And, if you need a refresher of the previous four seasons, here’s one, just seven minutes long. (Though I think there’s one detail that’s incorrect; Peggy’s family isn’t raising her baby; that’s Anita’s baby — Peggy’s was placed for adoption. Am I wrong here?) See you Monday!
