Which “Spider-Man” do you prefer?

So I leave town for a few days, and the weather completely changes. Hope you’re all enjoying this startlingly light day. And the movie everyone’s talking about is, of course, “The Amazing Spider-Man” — which I liked a lot, don’t get me wrong, but which I just didn’t think justified the fairly ridiculous idea of remaking a movie that was made very well just ten years ago. (I’d love to see Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone co-star in something else, wouldn’t you?) I’m seeing review headlines from all over that mostly seem to indicate that I’m in the minority — a lot of people are liking this movie as much, or better, than Sam Raimi’s 2002 version. And I do think that if I’d never seen the first one, I’d love this one — and that generally it’s not right to compare one movie to another (it should be judged on its own merits, not how it stacks up to something else), but in this case it just seems impossible to avoid. Anyway, by now maybe some of you have seen the new one. What do you think?

And, for important hair-comparison purposes, here’s Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man:
