The late ‘Norman Bates Motel’

Yesterday a friend of mine told me of seeing a sign for the former Norman Bates Motel, located on Pacific Highway East (Highway 99) in Fife, Washington. There’s nothing left of the motel (according to the Tacoma News-Tribune, it was demolished earlier this year) except the sign:

Seems an intriguing thing to post as Halloween draws near. Anyone know anything about our very own local Norman Bates Motel? I searched around online, but didn’t find much. Anyone survive a night there?
Speaking of “Psycho” — here’s “Hitchcock,” and an early peek at Anthony Hopkins’ Hitch-style stomach. The movie comes out Nov. 23; looks intriguing:
