‘Mad Men’ watch: Off to Hawaii

For those of us struggling through a new TV season without “Mad Men” (no official announcement of when Season 6 might premiere; I’m guessing March, like last season?), here’s a bit of news: Word is that “a secretive two-day shoot” in Hawaii is happening this month, with Jon Hamm and Jessica Pare headed to the islands with a small crew. Matt Weiner, of course, isn’t talking about it, but apparently it’s for the season’s opening episode. Last we saw of Don, he was sitting in a bar eyeing women, and Megan had achieved her dream, or a watered-down version of it (acting in a TV commercial). What are they up to in Hawaii? Is all still paradise among the Drapers? We shall see.
By the way, the DVD set for Season 5 came out this week. An up-and-down season, but some truly wonderful moments. Like this one:
