And the flip side: Who makes a movie a must-see?

Earlier this week, we had a lively discussion going on about dealbreakers: who are the actors whose presence on a cast list will cause you to skip a movie, no matter what kind of good buzz it might have? (I hear you, suomynona; we’ll talk directors another day.) So it seems appropriate that we should kick off the weekend with the opposite question: Who are the actors whose movies you never miss, no matter what? Let’s keep the names down to three per commenter, to keep things manageable. I’ll toss out three of my own favorites, off the top of my head: Morgan Freeman, because nobody on screen listens quite the way he does. Catherine Keener, because she’s incapable of giving a performance that isn’t utterly honest. Robert Downey Jr., because he’s always so irresistibly relaxed, and always makes me laugh. I could name dozens more, but these three popped into my head right away.
You?
