In honor of the 50th anniversary: a James Bond poll

“Skyfall,” a pretty terrific movie (I liked it as much as my colleague Soren Andersen did), is probably the closest we’ll ever get to a James Bond origin story — and that seems right, in celebration of 50 years on screen. And every Bond movie brings with it the inevitable argument: Who’s the best Bond? I’ve long voiced the minority opinion that it’s Pierce Brosnan (which I will freely admit has a lot to do with the fact that he’s the best-looking), but let’s hear from the rest of you. (We’re talking “official” Bonds, mind you; not the likes of David Niven and Woody Allen.) What do you think?

Who’s the best James Bond?
And, just for a refresher, here’s a 50th-anniversary compilation of 140 great Bond moments. Happy weekend — to Bond, and to all of you.
