So, when can I see ‘Zero Dark Thirty’?

It’s that time of year when everyone’s posting their Top Ten list (mine, for the record, won’t come until Dec. 30), and all of us in Seattle start wondering why so many movies we’re hearing about haven’t opened here yet. I’m getting email from readers asking about release dates for a number of movies; here’s a current list of selected Seattle dates:
Dec. 21: “This Is 40,” “Jack Reacher,” “Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away,” “Barbara”
Dec. 25: “Les Miserables,” “Django Unchained,” “Parental Guidance”
Dec. 28: “Promised Land,” “Not Fade Away”
Jan. 4: “Zero Dark Thirty,” “The Impossible”
Jan. 11: “Rust and Bone”
Jan. 25: “Amour”
Wondering about any other movie release dates? Let me know and I’ll do my best to find out. (FYI: The blog may be a little sporadic over the next week or so, with the holidays and with me starting jury duty tomorrow (!), which may be a few hours or much longer. I’ll post when I can. Happy holidays — and happy holiday movies — to all!)
