Steve Jobs movie in theaters this spring

Well, this kind of popped up out of nowhere: “jOBS” (yes, it’s really spelled that way, which causes me to furrow my brow over this whole enterprise), a biopic about Apple founder Steve Jobs, has a distribution deal with Open Road Films and will open theatrically in April. It will also be the closing night film at the Sundance Film Festival later this month. Ashton Kutcher plays Jobs (the film spans from 1971 to 2000); also in the film are Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons, and Matthew Modine. Joshua Michael Stern (“Swing Vote”) directs, from a screenplay by Matthew Whitely. We’ll see.
