Lynn Shelton’s latest gets distribution deal
Magnolia Pictures announced today that it has acquired “Touchy Feely,” the latest feature from Seattle filmmaker Lynn Shelton (“Your Sister’s Sister,” “Humpday”), for worldwide distribution. The film, shot in here in town last spring, made its world premiere at Sundance in January and features Rosemarie DeWitt, Josh Pais, Ellen Page and Allison Janney; Shelton has described it as having “multiple story lines, multiple characters, lots of locations” — and, unlike her previous films, not primarily a comedy. No word yet on a release date; but I wouldn’t be surprised if “Touchy Feely” made its local debut at the Seattle International Film Festival later this spring.
