A ‘Mary Tyler Moore Show’ reunion (almost)

Lovely news for those of us who grew up watching “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” reruns (I have an M just like Mary’s on my kitchen wall):  Deadline.com reports that Mary Tyler Moore, Cloris Leachman and Valerie Harper (who recently announced that she has terminal brain cancer, saddening a generation who loved her as Rhoda) will join Betty White and Georgia Engel on an episode of “Hot in Cleveland.” The story is that White and Engel, who are regulars on the show, scheme to reunite their former bowling team — which includes Diane (Moore), Peg (Leachman) and Angie (Harper). Never seen the show, but you can bet I’ll be watching for this episode, which will shoot in early April. Now, if they could just get Ed Asner and Gavin McLeod as bowling-alley employees . . .
