Which SIFF movies are coming back?

The Seattle International Film Festival, complete with 271 feature-length films, opened its box offices today; single tickets, in addition to a variety of passes, can be purchased online or in person at the Uptown or Pacific Place (second floor). For those of you trying to decide what films to choose, it might be helpful to know which of SIFF’s many offerings will be back soon for a regular run. I’m not necessarily saying you shouldn’t see these films at SIFF — some may have interesting guests attending, and it can be a kick to see a film early — but that information is useful. Here are the films that I currently know to have later Seattle release dates; note that dates are never entirely set in stone. More will be added as I hear of them.

“Big Star: Nothing can Hurt Me” (July 19)

“The Bling Ring” (June 14)

“Byzantium” (June 28)

“Crystal Fairy” (tbd 2013)

“Drinking Buddies” (Aug. 23)

“The East” (May 31)

“Frances Ha” (May 24)

“A Hijacking” (July 5)

“The Kings of Summer” (June 7)

“Monsters University” (June 21)

“Much Ado About Nothing” (June 21)

“The Spectacular Now” (Aug. 2)

“Stories We Tell” (May 31)

“Touchy Feely” (tbd 2013)

“The Way, Way Back” (July 5)
