Karen Allen to visit Port Townsend Film Festival

The 14th annual Port Townsend Film Festival, taking place September 20-22, will feature as its special guest Karen Allen, best known for her work opposite Harrison Ford in the “Indiana Jones” movies. At the festival, Allen has chosen to screen the 1987 film  “The Glass Menagerie,” in which she stars opposite Joanne Woodward and John Malkovich, with Paul Newman directing; Allen will be interviewed onstage following the film. PTFF will also present an outdoor screening of “Starman,” the 1984 sci-fi film with Jeff Bridges, which Allen will introduce on the festival’s opening night.

More programming details will be announced soon for the festival, which has long been a delightful way to spend a film-soaked fall weekend. Information: www.ptfilmfest.com.
