Made-in-Seattle film ‘Lucky Them’ finds distributor

Megan Griffiths’ romantic comedy “Lucky Them,” shot in Seattle earlier this year and starring Toni Collette and Thomas Haden Church, made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last month to enthusiastic audiences. Now, it’s taken a big next step: Today news comes that “Lucky Them” was picked up for U.S. distribution by IFC Films. The film is about a Seattle rock journalist (played by Collette) who makes a journey into her past, accompanied by a charmingly bumbling would-be documentarian (Church). No word yet on when the film might be released (my guess is that it’ll be next year), but congratulations to all involved.
