Attention, ‘Sherlock’ fans: Free advance screening

Are you eagerly awaiting the new season of “Sherlock,” with the splendidly becurled Benedict Cumberbatch’s whip-smart Sherlock and his wise, elfin sidekick Martin Freeman as Watson? It premieres locally on PBS on January 19 — but, if you move quickly, tickets are still available for an advance screening of the first episode, hosted by KCTS 9, on Tuesday evening, January 14, at the Nesholm Family Lecture Hall (formerly the SIFF Cinema) at McCaw Hall. Admission is free but you must RSVP online and get a ticket: available here, but surely going fast. The game is on!
