‘Jurassic Park’ — in stop-motion?

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has been posting an interesting series of videos called Academy Originals, and this week’s topic looks back a couple of decades to “Jurassic Park.” Interesting stuff: Apparently the filmmakers were originally planning to create the dinosaurs with traditional stop-motion animation, rather than than brand-new CGI technology — and made a dramatic decision early in the process. Worth a watch.
