Restored ‘Wicker Man’ at Ark Lodge

Here’s a treat for fans of classic horror: The Ark Lodge Cinemas (formerly Columbia City Cinemas) presents a special screening of “The Wicker Man” tomorrow night (June 26) at 8pm. The 1973 film (not to be confused with the 2006 Nicolas Cage remake), in which a police investigator flies to a remote Scottish island to investigate a child’s disappearance, stars Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward. It celebrated its 40th anniversary last year with a new restoration approved by director Robin Hardy, and screens Thursday as part of Ark Lodge’s ongoing Dark Lodge Theater series. Ticket information is here; sounds like a pleasantly creepy evening.
