Every year, film critic David Ehrlich makes an elegant supercut of his favorite films of the year. The 2014 edition, made for the film journal Little White Lies, is as always a treat. I don’t necessarily agree with his rankings (though I wouldn’t argue with his #1 pick, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”), but I love the presentation. (My own top 10 is still a work in progress; coming at the end of the month.) Watch and enjoy.
A note: Some of the films in the countdown haven’t yet hit Seattle (“Inherent Vice,” “Adieu to Language,” “Mommy”); all are, however, 2014 releases.
