About this blog

mshup200This blog is a partnership between the University of Washington Department of Communication, the City of Seattle Race & Social Justice Initiative, the Pacific Science Center and The Seattle Times. It grew out of a spirit of cooperation and the opportunity to further public conversation initiated by the Pacific Science Center’s exhibit “RACE: Are We So Different?” In conjunction with the exhibit’s run through early January, the city’s Race and Justice Initiative will host more than 200 conversations on race in our community.

Read Carole Carmichael’s opening post to learn more, check out posts from UW students contributing to the blog, visit the exhibit, find out more about community workshops or sign up for a workshop.
