Daily Rant & Rave: Former cyclist rants about careless drivers

RAVE To the honest riders and staff of Metro who found my wallet and got it back to me complete with cash, credit cards, driver’s license and all.

RANT To the woman who hit my husband on his bicycle with her giant SUV when she wasn’t paying attention. Rant to him too for not calling the police who would’ve ticketed her. He’s a careful, 60-plus-year-old rider who obeys every rule of the road and this isn’t the first time he’s been hit. I used to ride my bike to work too until a horrific accident put me in rehab for 37 days in 2011. I’m unable to ride a bike, canoe, kayak or garden, but I’m tough and at least I lived. Share the road.
